El Centro
Welcome to the El Centro CMF Chapter
Our group is just a mixture of Catholic men that want to get closer to Christ. In the spirit of ecumenicalism, we welcome other Christian faithful to join us. We meet in El Centro at St Mary Parish.
Our meetings are filled with shared life experiences, catechism, scriptural reading, prayer and direction in living a sound Catholic life. Those that come have others to support their spiritual journeys. We may all be at different places in our spiritual journeys, but we are all willing to share what we have learned with others.
Our group is made up mostly of mature men in the second half of their lives. They for the most part have experience the material aspects of this world. All seem to feeling something missing. There is a void in there souls. They are now looking for the peace that comes from following Christ. We realize that following Christ is for the most part counter-cultural. Therefore, we realize that our journey will lead us to the cross. We pray that we are strong and humble enough to carry our cross.
We hope to continue our annual Conferences to help enrich the men and families of our community. We also donate to other Catholic parishes in the Imperial Valley to help where there is need.

When do we meet?
We meet every 2nd Thursday of each month.
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Where do we meet?
We meet at St Mary Parish in the Senior Room in the Parish Auditorium

How often do we meet?
We meet once per month.
Why do we meet regularly?
We meet regular because it is important in becoming a relational group. Relations take time and patience to create. We address each other as “brothers”. Personally, I wish that we could meet every other week, but scheduling busy personal lives and families are very demanding. We do connect online or by phone when personal or group issues arise.
