• Michael Haddock | President


    Michael graduated from Florida State University in 1963 with a degree in Business Administration. His professional career began on the Apollo Space Program. He then spent the next twenty years in the van conversion business as an owner and general manager. He has written several home study courses for International Correspondence School. He has been involved in Catholic Men’s Fellowship since 1991 and was a member of the first Catholic Men’s Fellowship group located at San Francisco Solano parish in Rancho Santa Margarita. He developed a passion for prayer and the benefits derived from an active prayer life. The Lord has called him to a powerful and active commitment to teach men to pray and to become more effective in their prayer lives. Formerly, he served as Manager of Ambassador Services directing an outstanding team of Ambassadors throughout the state of California dedicated to the formation and mentoring of new chapters of Catholic Men’s Fellowship.

  • Burt Martinez


    Burt was born and raised in Pico Rivera, CA and has worked in the aerospace industry for the past thirty years. He has worked as a N/C tooling specialist and is currently working in the Aviation Industry. He has served as the leader of St Hilary’s Catholic Men’s Fellowship group for the past nine years. His involvement in St Hilary parish work spans the past eighteen years including service as a Lector, Eucharist Minister, Sacristan, and entertainment promoter. Burt is committed to bringing men back into the Sacramental life of the Church and encouraging them to have a closer daily walk with Christ St Hilary has been the site of many highly successful CMF Conferences and social gatherings under Burt’s leadership and continues to be a very popular venue for CMF events.

  • Geoffrey Blake | Secretary


    Geoff has been a parishioner of Saint Edward the Confessor in Dana Point since the late 70’s. He and his wife of 37 years have been on the Parish Council, sang in the Choir, and serve as extraordinary ministers for Saturday evening Mass. Since 1998, Geoff and Suzette have been an active part of Small Faith Communities, and host a weekly Medjugorje Prayer Group. He joined CMF at St Kilian’s in Mission Viejo in 1993, and eventually headed up that group. He now attends monthly meetings at Mission San Juan Capistrano, and frequently visits other chapters such as Corpus Christi, St Timothy's, Our Lady of Refuge, and others. He is a product of 17 years of Catholic formal education, provided by the sisters: Dominicans, BVM, Sisters of St Joseph; the brothers: Christian Bros and Holy Cross Brothers; and priests: Dominicans, Holy Cross, and Diocesan priests at Loras College. Geoff has degrees in Business Administration, and Philosophy. He is the EHS Director for a privately held aerospace company in Orange County, and sits on boards of associations and regulatory agencies.

  • Ben Hernandez


    Ben has been a highly motivated active member of Men’s ministries in the Inland Empire for the past 6 years. He was instrumental in getting Catholic Men’s Fellowship approved as an apostolate by the Diocese of San Bernardino. Ben has also, been successful in holding men’s conferences at various parishes over the past 5 years. He recently started a CMF Spanish ministry in the Inland Empire with hopes to spread more ministries in other dioceses. He is also a Eucharistic minister and received a certificate for the “Total Consecration to Jesus through the Blessed Virgin Mary,” according to St. Louis Marie de Montfort. Ben has been married to his wife Eleanor for 47 years. He and his wife have held bible study classes at their home in the past. He was in the beverage business and is now retired. Vision – Is to one day have a Men’s Ministry in all the parishes in the Inland Empire. So far, he has started 8 men’s ministries in different parishes. Motivation - Sharing my faith and my love for Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother with other men.

  • Donald Carpenter


    Donald was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California. His parents were devout Pentecostal Protestants. He began his formal academic studies in Mathematics. In 1989 he received the ZDaF certificate from the Goethe Institute in Frankfurt Germany. In 1990 he received a BA in Religion from UC Riverside and in 1991 received an MA in New Testament Studies from Claremont Graduate School. In 1992 he began PhD studies in Ancient Near Eastern Language at UCLA. Three years later he transitioned into the financial services industry becoming a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in 1996. In 2005, he opened his own advisory firm under the name DFC Wealth Management LLC in Century City. In 2006 he began to explore the Catholic Church and in 2009 was baptized into the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills during Easter Vigil. Later Donald would start an official CMF Chapter in his parish where he serves as the Group Leader. In March 2017 he became a member of the CMF Board of Directors.

    Bill has spent the last 45 years as a Graphic Designer. He has owned his own business in corporate advertising design for over 42 years serving clients all over the United States. In 1988, he started a men’s spirituality group, Manna4Men at St. Timothy parish in Laguna Niguel. This group continues to provide men a weekly Christ-centered environment of learning, trust, spiritual growth and wisdom for many men who are saying “yes” to the Spirit while invigorating their journey with Christ. Bill is involved in contemplative prayer ministry, Bible study, Eucharist minister, Knights of Columbus, builds sacred furniture for liturgy and serves as the Chairman of the Art & Environment Commission at St. Timothy. He also serves at the leadership of the pastor to organize both on-site and off-site retreat experiences for men. These include one day, weekend and even full week encounters in a monastic setting. He has also served on development committees at St. Vincent de Paul Orange County and Catholic Charities of Orange County.

    Mike founded the men's group at Saint Denis parish in Diamond Bar in 2010, and later that year made it a CMF chapter. They still meet every month and are a vibrant apostolate at the parish. By trade Mike is a full-stack .Net software developer working in Anaheim. In his free time he enjoys cycling and ice hockey. He is very active at St Denis, involved in leadership not just with the CMF group but also with the men's retreats, lector ministry, and Cursillo.
