Gilbert Alderete
President

Co-Founder of the CMF Chapter at St. Louise de Marillac in Covina. Gil is currently active as a chapter leader since 2017

Gil has been involved in Catholic Ministry for the past 23 years serving as a Confirmation Catechist, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, taking Eucharist to the homebound, Lector and member of the KOC and St. Michaels Shield Prayer Group

Becoming a board member for Catholic Men’s Fellowship in 2018 Gil is now serving as President of Catholic Men’s Fellowship of California. Gil is host of the Men of Faith internet radio podcast on SpiritFilledRadio.com and is currently serving as a Regional Leader for Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance. catholicmenleaders.org

Michael Kellogg

Webmaster

Founder of the CMF chapter at St Denis church in Diamond Bar, Michael has been active as a chapter leader since 2010, then joined the CMF leadership team a few years later and served as vice president and webmaster.

Mike’s founding of the CMF chapter at St Denis came out of his work leading the annual men’s retreat for a number of years there, which he continues to do. He has also served as a lector since 2001 and currently is the coordinator of that ministry at the parish.

In 2013 Mike was honored with the Pastoral Leadership Award for his work at St Denis.

Tom Greeley

Board Advisor - Past President

Tom has been active in church ministry for many years.  He has taught Bible studies in parishes and has co-led a parish prayer group. He has served on several ministry boards.

Tom has been involved with Catholic Men’s Fellowship since the early 1990’s serving as a board member and President.

At the Diocese of Orange, Tom is the chair of the Orange Catholic Foundation and the vice chair of on the Diocesan Finance Council. He assists both the Diocese and its Catholic schools in strategic planning.  He has served on the Diocesan Consultative School Board and on the Budget and Financial Planning Committee.  He is a knight of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.

In his professional career, Tom was a strategic planning consultant and retired as a partner of Grant Thornton, LLP.

Tom and his wife, Josi, attend St. Anne’s Church in Seal Beach.  They have been happily married for many years and have two children and two grandchildren.  

Bruce Beaumont
Treasurer

Bruce has been involved as a core team leader of CMF since 2017, becoming a board member in 2018 serving now as Treasurer.

He received his First Communion and Confirmation sacraments in 2007 and has been involved in Parish ministry for over 18 years serving as a Confirmation Catechist, Finance Committee member, and choir member.

Bruce is a recipient of the Benemerenti medal for service to the Catholic Church.

Francisco Munoz

Vice President
Event Organizing Team
Newsletter Staff

Francisco Munoz has been involved with youth and adult ministry in the San Gabriel Valley for over 20 years.

He was part of Life Teen Ministries at San Gabriel Mission, where he hosted weekend retreats for adults, worked ‘Life Nights’ for youth, and supported the Confirmation Program.

In 2017, Francisco joined the Catholic Men’s Fellowship Chapter at St. Louise de Marillac, where he continues to support the CMF parish ministry as Core Team member.

Francisco became a CMF board member in 2019 and currently serves in the roles of Vice President, Events Organizing Team and Newsletter Staff.

Frederick Picciano

Board Advisor - Past President

Fred has been active in church ministry for well over 20 years. Working together with men of faith, he established a CMF Chapter at St. John the Evangelist in 2001.

Fred served as President of CMF from 2003-2008 assisting in developing the tools and resources our chapters use today in their weekly meetings all over California.

Fred is currently a Regional Leader for CMLA where he continues to encourage men to become disciples of our Lord.

Fred is presently working on a book “The Life of St. Paul”

Burt Martinez
Sergeant-at-Arms

Burt has served as a board member since 2013, serving at one time as Vice President. He has served on the core team as a member and leader over the last 20 years.

Burt has been involved in parish ministry for over 20 years at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Pico Rivera.

Burt will be leaving St. Hilary moving to Menifee Ca. in Riverside County looking to break new ground for Catholic Men’s Fellowship.

Mike Haddock

Past President

Michael joined Catholic Men’s Fellowship at its beginning in 1991 when it was known as the Good Shepherd Men’s Fellowship, located in Rancho Santa Margarita, San Francisco Solano parish. Michael is a graduate of Florida State University with a major in business administration.

He has served as leader of the Ambassador Program, Vice President and President. He is a published author, “It Changed My Life”, the story of his thirty year journey in Catholic Men’s Fellowship. He continues to serve on the board as an advisor.

Geoff Blake

Secretary

Geoff is a product of 17 years of Catholic formal education, provided by the Sisters, Dominicans, Holy Cross Brothers and Diocesian priests at Loras College.

Geoff has been a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor in Dana Point since the late 70’s. He has been involved in the Parish Council, Choir and served as an extraordinary minister.

He joined CMF at St. Kilian’s in Mission Viejo in 1992 and soon lead the group. Eventually becoming a Board Member and serving as Vice President.

Geoff has been assisting and growing Catholic Men’s Fellowship since the early 90’s and now serves a Secretary.

Steve Ruda

Advisor to the Board

Steve has a long life of public service, a former United States Marine and a veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department retiring as Battalion Chief with 40 years service.

Steve has been involved in church ministry for over 30 years becoming a board member of in the early 90’s bringing together Men of Promise and Catholic Fellowship for Men forming Catholic Men’s Fellowship of California.

Steve is well known for his ability to speak to men encouraging them to become daily followers of Christ. He has been the emcee for many conferences and has the gifts and talents to share his faith with openness and clarity.
